Hello and welcome to Independent Hill School!! My name is William Caparoula. I currently teach an autistic classroom with an educational focus on life skills and vocational curriculum. My students are given opportunities to work in various locations in the school along with some job sites outside of the school. By allowing them these opportunites, the students are gaining valuable knowledge and experience in real life job situations, which will help better prepare them for life after school.
A little background information on myself: I graduated from St. Francis University (PA) in December of 2003 and have worked here at IHS since I graduated. I graduated with a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I played two years of football while in college and continue to be an avid sports fan!!! Since I grew up just north of Pittsburgh, it's only natural that I'm a HUGE Steelers fan!!!
